DONATE!
In response to many who asked what they could do, how they could donate, we will be providing donation stations to help a handful of organizations in need. Check out the wish list items below, and bring a bag of donations with you to Engage Norfolk!
Additionally, organizations in the CivicFAIR will be able to collect monetary donations at their tables. Time to raid your piggy banks and/or bring your check book and find a worthy cause to support.
Animal Care donations
We will be accepting donations for Norfolk's animal shelters at Engage Norfolk! Please consider bringing any of the following items to help the Norfolk SPCA, the Norfolk Animal Care Center, and PETA. (Donations will be divided and delivered to the shelters after our event.)
- Cat/kitten food (canned); Dog and puppy food (canned); Purina dog and cat food (dry); Dog and cat treats; Powdered milk replacement for puppies (Esbilac) and kittens (KMR)
- Cat litter (non-scoopable); Bath towels and blankets; Washable dog and cat beds; Dog and cat toys (including Kongs and Nylabones); PetSmart, Care-A-Lot, Petco gift cards
- Bleach; Liquid laundry detergent; Tri-fold paper towels; Windex and Formula 409 cleaners
Food Donations
We will be accepting donations for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Please consider bringing any of the following items:
Peanut butter, tuna, chicken, turkey, beans, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta sauce, 100% fruit juice, fruit preserves, dried fruit, cereal, pasta, oatmeal, rice, crackers, soups, stews, boxed meals, canned pasta...and **Baby Products: formula, baby food, diapers, wipes** [Please ensure non-breakable containers, nutritional labels intact, and check dates (items can be up to 6 months past printed date)]
